Nwes supports Kenyan entrepreneur who educates Kenyan girls on the facts of menstruation, puberty and reproductive health
Nwes recently launched the Commonwealth Entrepreneur Development Project (CED), which focuses on finding, educating and supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in each of the 52 Commonwealth countries. The project commenced in Kenya, where we are supporting a local Kenyan lady, start and grow her registered business, Violet Brightdawn Solutions.
Violet’s business offers a health and wellbeing program to eight schools in the Kisii County of Kenya. Her aim is to educate the girls about menstruation, raise awareness about HIV and the importance of disease prevention.
The program has been well accepted by the schools and their students, but we are challenged with providing enough sanitary products for these girls to effectively manage their menstruation, so that they are able to attend school.
A bank account has been set up to receive funds, so that sanitary towels can be purchased and supplied to these girls.
A donation of £20 would supply one girl with enough products for a year.
