Inspired by her grandmother’s belief in complementary therapy, Rebecca Geanty has established a new clinic called Treat, which offers affordable complementary health care to suit the needs of her clients.
Treat is based in Capitol House on Norwich’s Heigham Street. At the heart of the centre is a multi-bed acupuncture clinic where Rebecca and her team can treat up to six people in the same space at the same time. This makes acupuncture more affordable for those who require regular treatment at only £24 per session.
We spoke to Rebecca about her Treat journey.
What is your background and the inspiration behind your business?
I have previous restaurant management experience, but I have been interested in complementary therapy from a young age. My 95 year-old grandmother still has regular acupuncture, and I have also benefited hugely from the treatment. It has been a dream to have my own clinic since I qualified. I wanted to provide a homely, positive environment for my patients, the people of Norwich and practitioners, and to build a community which empowers people to help themselves.
