Since graduating in 2014 with a First Class BA (Hons) Performing Arts degree, Abbie Moore dreamed of running her own drama-based business to encourage others to follow her passion in performing arts. With the support of enterprise agency Nwes, she launched Hello Drama in March 2016.
We spoke to Abbie about her start-up journey.
Tell us more about Hello Drama.
Hello Drama tailors and delivers drama workshops in schools and businesses locally and abroad. Using the client’s input, we personally create the workshop that’s right for them. Each workshop is devised to fit the client’s exact requirements, taking into account the age and abilities of the participants and what they would like to achieve from their Hello Drama experience.
I found that quite often, I was being asked to deliver a ‘one size fits all’ workshop for many different groups, and that because of this, participants were missing out on opportunities to progress. I wanted to provide a more personal service which enabled individual groups to achieve their learning objectives and allow them to challenge themselves.
