Dawn continues. “Just knowing that there is a team behind us every step of the way is an incredible feeling. Nwes are a local business with similar views and aspirations as us, and we are really looking forward to working together. The future is looking brighter.”
Jessica-Jane works very hard with the team behind London 2012 legacy of inspiring a generation; she regularly visits schools and clubs across the country with her coach to give talks, and holds ‘Swim with Jess’ development days. As an ambassador for the Norfolk Community Sports Foundation, and Mencap – the national charity for people and families of those with a learning disability – Jessica-Jane is passionate about her sport and being a positive role model for others.
Nwes heard about Jessica-Jane’s funding challenges in the local press and, as an enterprise agency which seeks to inspire others, has stepped in to provide support with the Applegate family’s marketing and awareness, and to assist with fundraising events and campaigns.
Chief Executive of Nwes, Kevin Horne says. “Nwes is proud to support Paralympic champion Jessica-Jane. She is an inspiring young person and a superb role model. We will ensure she competes at Tokyo 2020.”
Kevin continues. “My team will provide Jess and her family with all the support they need to drive their campaign forward to reach their fundraising goal. This will allow Jessica-Jane to concentrate on swimming, at which she excels.”
