Enterprise agency Nwes was delighted to join the celebrations for the first ever Suffolk Day by organising events for the local business community.
Held county-wide on Wednesday 21 June, Nwes’ Suffolk Day events included a social media masterclass at South Suffolk Business Centre in Sudbury, in collaboration with local Digital Marketing agency, Sky Blue Toffee, followed by fish and chips for the attendees and tenants.
Leiston Enterprise Centre invited local businesses and tenants to join them for pizza, supplied by Pete’s Pizza, and ice cream, and Riverside Business Centre in Lowestoft held a successful family fun day and barbeque, which was well-received by guests.
The day closed with a specially-chartered cruise down the River Orwell on the historic sailing barge, Victor. Guests of the sold-out event were able to watch the sunset over the Orwell Bridge with the team from Nwes’ Suffolk Enterprise Centre, based at Felaw Maltings in Ipswich.
Suffolk Day has been pioneered by BBC Radio Suffolk, supported by Suffolk County Council and the East Anglian Daily Times. Inspired by a similar event in Yorkshire, more than 30 events were held across the county to champion Suffolk as a great place to live, play and work.
