Nwes is delighted to be leading a fundraising campaign to support Paralympic swimmer, Jessica-Jane Applegate.
Jessica-Jane, who won gold at London 2012, was devastated to learn that a cut in funding may lead her to retire from the sport she loves, aged just twenty. Determined to get Jessica-Jane to Tokyo 2020, Nwes has been organising a series of events and challenges to raise funds towards their £20,020 target.
The first of these is a football match between the North Walsham Angels and Nwes XI, taking place at Easton and Otley College on Sunday 11 June.
With free entry for supporters, the Nwes team is inviting sponsorships in order to raise money. There is a range of sponsorships available from just £50, and is a unique way to promote the support of local businesses, as well as giving Jessica-Jane’s fundraising campaign a boost.
Our thanks to everybody who is supporting the match, including Easton and Otley College, the players of both teams, the officials, the supporters, and the sponsors.
Please contact martha.taylor@nwes.org.uk for more information, or if you would like to be a sponsor.
