‘Pitching for Success: how to present yourself and your company with credibility and confidence’

A key part of running a successful business is being able to articulate effectively what it is you do and what makes it different, and yet so many people struggle with the basics of pitching and presenting their ideas effectively. Luke will explain the basic principles of presenting yourself and your business with energy, credibility and integrity, giving you tools you can use immediately to deliver the outcomes you want

6.30pm: Kay Kukoyi, founder of Purposeful Products and Tech Startup Academy, We in Social Tech mentor
‘Managing the software development process: how to avoid common issues whilst getting your software application built’

It’s an unfortunate fact that the founders of tech startups often experience delays, and frustration as they collaborate with “techies” to get their software built. Kay will be sharing pointers from her workshop which helps founders to successfully navigate their way to hiring and managing tech staff efficiently, and without tears!

Milena Bottero, founder of Room for Tea, a shared living network that enables anyone to turn a property into a co-living space. Guests can book a room in a 3-10-bedroom home, on a flexible basis (1-12 months). 75% of our community is female. All rooms are checked for safety and guests can book on a monthly basis without requiring huge deposits.

Inas Ismail, co-founder of Autsera, an immersive, interactive social and communication VR training game, for children and adults on the autism spectrum.

About the speakers:

Luke Hayter is the founder of Apogee Partners and has spent over 20 years writing presentations and delivering them to some of the world’s biggest organisations during his career in media and advertising.

Kay Kukoyi is a Software Delivery Specialist and the founder of Purposeful Products, a company on a mission to help the founders of early-stage tech startups to get from “idea to launch” and beyond the SMART way, so they can increase their chances of success, make faster progress, and avoid common mistakes.
