Have you got a great business idea?
In association with the Lloyd’s Enterprise Initiative following the success of the 2017 initiative
The Lloyd’s Enterprise Initiative is a programme of support for young people wanting to start their own business, funded by Lloyd’s Community Programme.
As part of this initiative we are offering the opportunity to 50 young entrepreneurs to receive advice and attend workshops to help them develop their idea and get them ready to pitch their idea to a panel of experts to find the best five business ideas to receive a share of the prize money.
Nwes, through London Small Business Centre aims to encourage young entrepreneurs (18 -25) emerging from London’s colleges and universities.
This competition will offer to help to 50 young people to develop ideas and write a business plan and ultimately instill confidence to empower these young people to pitch their ideas in front of an audience. We hope to enable students to run sustainable businesses. The competition offers:
- 1-to-1 business advice for up to 50 successful applicants. This is an opportunity to develop their business plan and personal skills.
- The opportunity to participate in our workshop ‘Perfect your pitch’. The workshop offers practical tips to help attendees become confident public speakers and listeners as well as focusing on understanding your audience and the different methods for communicating with clients and winning new business. People buy from people, so the way you present yourself and your business is key to influencing people and winning new business.
From the 20 successful applicants who have received their 1-to-1 advice and attended the ‘Perfect your Pitch’ workshop, 10 will be chosen to move forward to the big pitch!
