Kim Saunders had always worked in the restaurant industry, with positions at several cafes and restaurants under her belt. But working in someone else’s business wasn’t what she wanted. She wanted to launch her own.
Kim found Nwes online, and began to work with Nwes Business Advisor John Sargant and Nwes Business Trainer Joseph Barrell. Kim wanted to launch a café of her own. After discussing her aspirations, John and Joseph helped Kim join the Start & Grow programme – an intensive support programme that helps businesses start trading, grow faster and employ. As well as this, they helped Kim secure funding for her business through the Start Up Loans programme.
“I have found the advice from Nwes to be exceptional and am particularly grateful to John Sargant and Joseph Barrell for their advice and support without their help my dream would not have come true.”
Richi’s Food Bar launched in May this year, and things have started off strong for Kim. Not only serving the regulars, and offering party and special occasion catering, Richi’s Food Bar also recently launched on the takeaway app, Just Eat. As well as offering a carefully crafted café menu, Richi’s also serves up options for those with dietary requirements, so all can enjoy the cafes friendly atmosphere.
Kim credits her initial success to her time with Nwes – “You need determination and to take as much advice as you can get.”
We wish Kim the best of luck in her venture.
