Bamboo Bettie, specialising in reproduction vintage style clothing for the 21st Century
With the help of her husband, Candy Lee Miller found out about Nwes, and utilised the services available with support and advice from Nwes Business Advisor, Julie Pauley under the Start Up Loans initiative.
Candy has more then thirty years’ experience in the clothing industry. Putting together her knowledge and the fashion degree skills of her friend Tilly Batchelor, the pair formed a partnership and went forward with their business idea.
The advice from Julie ensured Bamboo Bettie’s growth. Customers can have custom made clothes and swimwear fitted and made to almost any size, at a reasonable cost for such a bespoke service. “We believe this makes us stand out from our other competitors who mostly import from the Far East,” says Candy.
In November Candy reported that things have progressed enormously, “Our hard work this year has meant we are attending most of the large rockabilly weekends next year. Something that does not normally happen easily, as these places are very hard to come by.”
Stock sizes go from a 6 to16, however custom dresses can be made on request.
