Having previously worked as the Director of Engagement with a local housing provider, Michelle Gant wanted to build on the passion she had developed through many years of working in engagement and delivering satisfaction. After starting a family, she was determined to be a good role model for her daughter; she decided to follow her heart and set up her own business.
We spoke to Michelle about her vision and ethos behind The Engaging People Company, which was launched in April 2017.
How would you describe The Engaging People Company?
We are an innovative new company with the purpose of making people happy. The Engaging People Company was established to support organisations to transform engagement with their people and their customers – and in doing so, increase satisfaction and deliver business success.
We work with companies to understand their drivers of satisfaction before developing and delivering transformational and targeted engagement plans.
With core values of creativity, authenticity, kindness and having fun, the business is a one-stop-shop for people and customer engagement and satisfaction, which can support companies through every stage of engagement.
What drives you to be a successful business owner?
I feel passionately about the role of engagement in delivering satisfaction. It has a critical impact on staff recruitment and retention and on the customer experience. It can transform organisations into places where people want to work, and do business with, which is hugely beneficial for business success and individual happiness.
