Fig and Roses, florist, funeral service, and event planner
At the age of just 23, Katherine Hadingham has opened her first business venture, Fig and Roses (florist), in Harleston.
With an agricultural background and a Level 3 Floristry Extended Diploma graduate from Easton College, Katherine agrees that it’s no surprise that she ended up working within a ‘green fingered industry’.
So with her experience and qualifications behind her, Katherine made the decision in October this year to sign up on the Growth Hub programme, receiving advice and support from Nwes Business Advisor, Vic Short, and taking the Ready for Business Masterclass course, led by Nwes trainer, John Clarke.
By the beginning of November, Katherine was fitting out her first retail outlet. The shop, on The Thoroughfare in Harleston, is now open, and offers floral designs for all occasions, including weddings and funerals, as Katherine is happy to deliver in and around Harleston. As well as using seasonal and locally grown produce as much as possible, the aim of Fig and Roses is to ‘keep the customer happy’.
Take a look at Katherine’s designs on the Fig and Roses Facebook page, or call into the shop at 8a The Thoroughfare, Harleston, IP20 9AX
