The St James Health and Resource Centre is located on Queens Road in the heart of the South Yarmouth community, within walking distance from Great Yarmouth Town Centre.
Originally a derelict church which had stood empty for six years, the Centre was reopened in September 2005 after intensive refurbishment, giving the 140 year old building a new lease of life.
The aim of the Centre is to encourage and support local community members, organisations, groups and businesses in the town. It provides both office space to local businesses and a number of support services to the local community.
The building was refurbished with funding from the East of England Development Agency, the European Union, Heritage Lottery Funding and the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund.
St James HRC is owned by the Bridge Trust (a local charity) and is managed by enterprise agency NWES.
