The Cobholm & Lichfield Health and Resource Centre is located on Pasteur Road in Great Yarmouth, within short walking distance of Great Yarmouth town centre.
The Centre opened in February 2004 and was Great Yarmouth’s first Health & Resource Centre, offering a unique facility with a selection of office accommodation for rent, meeting and IT facilities, as well as a full day Childcare facility.
The aim of the Centre is to:
- Tackle underlying causes of poverty and deprivation that leads to the deterioration of physical and mental health, environment, community spirit, social culture and economic statue of residents.
- Create, build upon, maintain and sustain vibrant and active communities making people feel part of a wider community and implementing a sense of wellbeing.
- Enhance educational, economic, physical, environmental, culture and social prospects of the community through the facilities and a range of activities.
The building utilised SRB Objective 2 and NRF funding from the East of England Development Agency, the European Union, and the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund.
The Cobholm & Lichfield HRC is owned by the Bridge Trust (a local charity) and is managed by enterprise agency NWES.
